Honda CBR600F Repsol – 1993. Low Miles, MOT, Runs Well. This bike was personally imported from Japan in 1997 where I believe the Repsol colour scheme was an original option. I think it’s a great look, but the pictures flatter it a little if I’m being honest. There is no evidence of the bike having seen crash damage, but one large panel has broken as shown in the photos. The previous owner said that securing screws had come loose, then the whole thing broke free when he was ton-up down the road, private of course? ! I have a replacement panel that I always meant to refurb and fit, but never got around… The replacement panel is scratched but has no cracks, so would be usable. I also bought some Repsol orange paint and stickers which I will be happy to pass on. There is the odd panel crack and rust spot elsewhere on the bike. The fuel tank has had a leak at some point which caused some of the paint to bubble and this was on my famous to-do list also. The repair looks like it could have been done better, so this could be re-done and resprayed if desired, but there are no dings to the tank and it’s otherwise in good condition. The bike has low miles for its age and almost none in my ownership – hence the reason for the sale. I took it for a short run yesterday and it pulled like a train when the rev’s kicked in and the sound from the Max Torque Can was just right. The tyres are getting a bit low on tread and these were an advisory on the last MOT, but still legal. These engines can do serious miles and are very reliable. There is a little cam chain rattle on start up, but this goes after a short while and everything sounds good. So, a good cheap blast ready for the summer or track bike project? Just put a few more miles on it than me! Cash on collection please. V5 in hand and a pile of old MOT’s too if of interest. Just realised – Rossi only joined the Repsol team in 2000 so this can’t have been an original colour scheme! A couple of the 50 watchers have asked about location.
