Low mileage, well maintained and great looking carb model CBR600F. It’s a 1997 model in great condition and is ready to go for the next few years. It’s been owned by old blokes like me for 16 years. Full MOT and recent service and some minor work at local bike shop (throttle was sticking). I bought it last year to commute 100 Miles a day for work but was either going to lose my licence or worse! I’m pushing 50 and want to make it to my birthday!! It’s quick, reliable and does what it says on the tin, but I need a commuter like a NC750, so this has got to go. I’ve maintained it with a mate who used to race these bikes. This one hasn’t been raced and is factory standard, including the original tail pipe. I love this bike and it’s a gem. If you’re looking for a winter hack or to Have loads of fun then this is for you! Here are the great bits for you. Owned by the previous owner for 15 years. He was 72 and couldn’t ride anymore. He knew the first and second owners. He used it at weekends, hence low mileage. Has fitted 2 brand new tyres, new battery and recent full clean of carbs. Recent oil change and new oil filter (see pics). New Honda air filter. Really good data tool immobiliser and remote fob. Apart from routine maintenance (oil changes etc) this bike should be good for another 10-15000 miles before it’ll need new tyres or work. Comes with bike cover. Complete cooling system clean and full refill with putoline coolant. Engine is rattle free, meaning the bottom end is sound. Haynes manual and box of bits such original indicators. Stuff you might want to tidy up. Easy to clean up and spray. Rubber hoses are 19 years old and could do with replacing. The tail pipe is original and is in good working order, however I sprayed it with high temperature Matt black rather than high gloss. Close up it looks a bit scruffy. The guy I bought it off said it’d had a low speed spill when going round a round about when new. He said all the plastics had been replaced (there’s no sign of damage or repair to the plastics) back in 1997, and they Look undamaged. I’ve included a pic of the fairings off so you can see the slow speed abrasion on the r/h/s crank. Of course the crank case is covered once fairings are on. Basically I’ve told you this so you know this bike (and me) are 100%. Bike is Gillingham, Dorset but can be delivered to Bath/Bristol by negotiation.
