2000 Honda CBR600FY Motorbike – Spares / Repair / Track Bike. Ive owned this bike since I passed my test in 2011. It got used only during the summer months and I eventually grew bored of riding and stopped. The bike has moved from my house to my garage and now covered on my driveway. The bike has covered just over 21,000 miles from new. It has no current MOT. I had the carbs ultrasonically cleaned about three years ago and got the bike through its MOT but then never had time to use it. The MOT expired and I parked it up again. For that MOT I also had the front tyre replaced and a new rad fan switch fitted because the old one stopped working. While its been parked up Ive replaced a couple of sections of fuel line which were looking perished. I also had the front forks rebuilt about five years ago. The stanchions, seals and oil were all replaced. At some point during my ownership I replaced the under tray with a tail tidy style one. It neatens the back of the bike up and Ive fitted a slightly smaller number plate as well as some LED rear indicators. The bike got blown over in the strong winds a few years ago which dented the fuel tank slightly and tore the edge of the seat. You can see this damage in the pictures. I have also removed the majority of the decals from the fairings. I have misplaced the plastic covers that go along the side of the fuel tank. The bike is listed as spares or repair because it has no MOT and needs a bit of TLC. In my opinion having the carbs cleaned and set up correctly a new battery and a service will get this bike up and running again and ready for an MOT. Its not a complete basket case and will make an excellent daily commuter, first bike, weekend toy or track bike for someone. As per the previous mentions, the bike currently doesnt run. This is only due to a flat battery! I have attached a link of the bike running after I replaced the fuel pipes a couple of years ago. Please dont expect to be able to ride this bike away.
