BARN FIND CBR STEELIE – PROJECT. Picked up today 10th Sept, been sat in a garage for god knows how many years, all ive done is put a pressure washer over it and pumped tyres up. Bike does run, just put fuel straight into carbs (video to show) the. Oil, coolant, filter all look brand new, didnt run for long as should really all be changed again. No crash damage to plastics all genuine, some tiny marks and dint and bit of rust blemish on tank but nothing horrendous – really will clean up well. Tank will need derusting insde and sealing – easy to do with todays products. Comes with two keys – v5 should be available shortly – same owner approx 13-15yrs. Downpipes were apparently fitted just before laid up (house move and family) and they are totally solid. Being steel frame it is rusty… But they all are. Brakes are free and actually work really well, Only done 18,000 miles. This is a project, its has very good potential but needs the whole thing going through. Worst bits are rust in tank (can be sorted) and pitted forks. The 2 inspection panels on fairing are missing, but chap is going to look for them and dig out v5. Numberplate shown if wish to HPI.
