This advert is for the CBR600F2 – see my other listings for the Guzzi and Aprilia. Please also note that the three bikes are in Dumfries, SW Scotland – please make sure you can collect from there. From what I can tell this bike was last on the road in 2005 / 2006 – this was the last MOT from the DVLA website (see 11th picture) the mileage then was just 12000. It appears it had an accident and was then off the road for 10 years. When I got the bike it came with that set and just needed a headlight, wing mirrors and clocks to finish it off. So, the mileage is not certain – it could be as low as the last MOT in 2005. The 38000 that’s on there now is obviously just the figure that was on the replacement clocks. Along with the full bodykit that came with the bike, as you can see, the wheels and tank had also been painted in prep for the Repsol make-over. I do have the registration doc for the bike – in my name at my home address. Take a good look at the pictures – as can bee seen, the majority of the body kit is in good condition and a reasonable fit. However, on closer inspection, you can also see that there is still some more tinkering required to make all the mounting points match up and the faring fit as good as it can. You can also see that the colour on the sprayed parts (tank and wheels) is not a fantastic match for the new fairing parts. In the 9th picture there is a tank cover that will come with the bike – this will help in the fitment of the other panels but it’s not a much closer match than the tank is presently. There’s also a couple of faring inner panels in the picture that need to go with the bike too. The mechanicals of the bike are in good order – there’s no damage to frame, forks or wheels and all electrics work fine. The bike starts and runs fine although having been off the road for so long it still needs a bit more fiddling to run as well as it can. At the moment it runs a lot better on a partial choke when it really shouldn’t need it – so there’s a bit of carb cleaning required. The front brakes are a bit sticky and will need freeing off. The front indicators need to be properly fitted into the fairing – at the moment they are just held in place adhesive. Chain has a couple of stiff / tight areas that might ease off with use, but probably better to replace. So – that’s it. A full bike in running order that can either be finished off or used as a supply of good parts for your own machine.
