This pipe delivers a deep tone with minimal distortion that is not excessively loud like other short after market pipes when used with the sound arrester and performs similar to other open end pipes on the market. The sound arrester helps to prevent lean out conditions at high rpm (snap, crackle, pop) by providing some back pressure. It has superior heat and corrosion resistance and has been tested to automotive specifications and meets or exceeds standards of performance for exhaust and muffler coatings. Heat resistance in excess of 1100 degrees and continuous testing for 48 hours at 800 degrees show this coating to hold its color, gloss and physical integrity at this service temperature. It should be noted this motorcycle exhaust should not exceed 500 degrees. This coating exceeds specifications for salt spray resistance testing. No blistering or rusting from scribe after 120 hours continuous testing. Passed a full battery of corrosion performance tests for automotive applications.
